Ouch, sorry to hear that man. I'm struggling to keep that from happening here too so I feel your pain. Hang tough. Better days are coming.

I can only guess how hard this is on you and the kids Dave, not to mention the grandparents and all the others involved in your life, at minimum you wont be going it alone, they'll be there.

Sorry to hear this NH. There maybe hope as far as your mortgage. I just went through the (Home affordability loan modification) It is a government program to help people keep there homes. I lost about $20,000 in annual income so I had no choice. It lowered my mortgage payments by $700.00 per month. I am a happy camper now. You may want to check into it. I did it through my own mortgage company instead of one you might find on the internet that wants to charge you an arm and a leg.

sportsman is right about that because even when a bank does foreclose they dont want it. they will still make more money by working with you in this economic situation than trying to sell it for way less and take a loss. but i suggest if your starting to get in a pinch with your home act now before you get to far behind and then dont have any options at all man.
