If you want to do the mkt thing, open you an account at Schwab or E trade, and roll the dice. You can learn by doing trades daily.Watch how much you spend on stocks, relative to your account.I don't(as a rule) pay over 5.00 bucks for a stock, but that my program.

i have an account with etrade. its a roth ira account. $13 per trade but if i had an active trader account it would be 7. Only thing is i dont have enough $$ to open an active trading account.

Yea, i'm trying to put away as much money as i can. I put 500 in a year ago to start. not much but you gotta start somewhere. now im just working on diversifying my portfolio. have stock in F, C,ebay, GE.. I bought ebay at $12 a share... My cousin is a big investing buff. told me not to buy it... did it anyways and I am up 87% on it. he he he heee

the day you turn 18 is the best time to start.. the earlier the better. too bad not many kids my age know that, or care.. their loss, more money for me ha ha.. apple is my next target.. they are going over 250! mark my words
