Well it's a 2000 400ex with a big bore kit, it has yoshi. 3-47 exhaust, with nerf bars, and bumper, it has a twist throttle (I haven't made up my mind on that yet)runs great and it basically cost me $90.00. Now the bad, As you can see the steering stem is bent, It has a broken tie rod on the Right upper and one part of the frame was broken. And the seat is torn ( not that big of a deal for me)
Here's some pics.

Not a bad deal at all. Those 400ex's are bullet proof and very capable trail quads.

I actually traded my Hond Odyssey ( I got the Odyssey on a trade form a riding mower I fixed. The mower needed the deck rewelded and a battery. Battery cost me $20.00 and I welded it) and an old garden tractor. The garden tractor a guy had no idea if it ran or not because the starter was missing. I gave him a 12" sub and an old JBL dime a dozen amp for it. Found a starter for $50.00 and a battery for $20.00. So my actual cost was only $90.00
I'm not to sure on the BB kit. It was this guys sons and the son went into the military and needed to sell the quad. Is there any (easy)way to find out? The guy said "It's like a 500 now" Well I know of the 426 and 440 but punching a motor out to 100cc extra I doubt it.

Biggest Ive seen in person was a 465....but I think there is such a thing as a 500...although I HIGHLY doubt that is one. I guess if you absolutely had to find you you could pull the head off, measure the bore size, and measure the stroke and figure out your cc's.

Yeah I figured that was about the only way to find out. I didn't know if there was a way to take the spark plug out and hook up some kind of air or liquid and fill it up and with some math find out what it was. Oh well not that big of a deal to me right now. Just bought an a-arm for it to day off ebay for $35.00 to fix the ball joint. Next up is to fix the bent steering stem ( I tried to run it over with the truck but it didn't even budge. (2002 GMC K1500) And then have someone weld the frame back. I don't have a mig welder or I would do it myself.

I'm not 100% on this so don't quote me but I think you can buy something called a macrometer..or micrometer? You put it in the place of your spark plug and it measures stroke and bore.
Monster in the making.
