Please read and I hope--VOTE
This gives you the right to make your opinion heard. It takes 5 seconds. It is still a live link and a valid poll. Our new Attorney General has already said this is one of his major issues. He did not explain what he meant, but we can guess.
This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.
First - vote on this one. Second - send it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published. Vote in the USA Today poll - click on the link below. The Question is: Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms? Vote here:

Calling a illegal immigrant an "undocumented worker" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmicist". Both are criminals!

The 2ND amendment doesn't GIVE anyone the right to be arms, it means we have the right to, only if it is legal to do so in the certain place.
If it GAVE you the right to bear arms, you wouldn't see those signs in cop shops saying no weapons allowed, and you wouldn't be getting arrested for Carrying a Concealed weapon.
Your local jurisdiction is what gives/doesn't give you the right to bear arms. They are like the "underwriters" to every amendment. Just because someone said you can do something doesn't mean it's legal.
I voted no. If it where worded differently then I would have voted yes.

Camo fox your reading too much into it. The right to bear arms does not mean the ability to carry them EVERYWHERE.

Fox, you missed the entire point. As usual. And by the way, the wording was just as it is in the Amendment itself. But you are right in one aspect, it doesn't GIVE us the right to bear arms, it just reinforced a right we already have, and made it a legal point, in fact.
The exact wording of the 2nd Amendment to the Bill of Rights:
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
As you can see, the right to bear arms was already there, since they were saying it shall not be infringed. As far as the USA Today wording, they are a Liberal newspaper, and undoubtedly worded it that way so people with a shallow understanding of the whole argument would vote no, just as you did.

I voted no. If it where worded differently then I would have voted yes. I just voted yes Woodsi. 96% in favor, but what's popular vote count for anymore? The Obumba administration will make all the decisions for us, from now on. Camo, you're missing the whole aspect of the second amendment. The founding Fathers put it in the Constitution as a fundamental right of Americans. It's not just for self, local, and State protection,(Militias), it's also intended to be a control, for tyrannical government.

Amen, brother at arms Grizz.
Lots of men voted for Obuma, but it would be my guess they lack the gonads to buck the tide. Using that as a quide, I would say those of different political beliefs are ball-less.
I will point out, however, that since Obuma only won by 3% of the popular vote, and that women outnumber men by more than that margin, that all men could have voted against Obuma and he would have still won.

No problem Stoopid, we all get riled up. BTW, I agree with your assessment of politicians and John McCain. I did not vote in the last election, seeing as I had no one to vote for. Six of one, half a dozen of the other, in that both candidates were Liberal Progressives, no matter what their party. There is very little difference between Dems and Repubs these days. Except the Dems get away with more BS.

He's not the one who got us in this fuggin mess, He is the one trying to get us out. He has more **** on his plate than he knows what to do with right now. Hind sight is 20/20, but I bet if anyone of you "anti-Obama" characters put yourselves in his shoes, dealing with the exact same things he has to all while getting all the intelligence he gets you would more than likely do the same.
I'm not sticking up for him one bit, as I think politics are stupid and everyone thinks they know everything there is to know about them. Instead of worrying about why he did what he did, Why don't you just worry about living your lives till he "take all our weapons and fun toys"?! All you're doing is blowing hot air between one another and being a bunch of little *****es.
And yes willie, I know, I'm a coward and not a man because I didn't server our country! But your dumb ass did! WaaaAAAAAaaaaaaaaAAAAAAA good game man!
and for anyone who cares, Just because the 2nd ammendment states we have the right to bear arms doesn't mean chit to anyone any more. If they want to take them away, they will. AND THERES NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO STOP THEM! THEY MAKE THE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel better. Camo, you're not a coward because you did not serve. But you do have to respect the Veterans that did. They have preserved our way of life, as we know it today. And they protected the second amendment at the same time. I got nothing against you, but you're making yourself look like an ass, going against a Veteran's point of view, on this one.
