RE: Going to see adjuster today

So much ignorance, racism, and bigotry on this forum. Pathetic. It's nice to see the Berkley and other California college professors are turning out another generation of leftist sympathizers. After all, they did such a great job, with moral compasses like Bill and Hillery Clinton, Al Gore, Abby Hoffman, and Jane Fonda. Thank God for California; because when it slides in the Pacific ocean in 2012; it will drag that city full of abominations, S.F.,and hopefully Hollywood, along with it. And I'm not prejudice;I hate everybody, except Family, Brothers in arms, true Friends, and the nice people at the Browning firearms factory. 338 mag is my favorite.
Guess what? I moved to the USA 19 years ago from the former Soviet Union. That's right, born in the USSR and raised in the People's Republic of Kalifornia. :)
http://bitsblog.florack.us/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/lenin.jpg You're not one of those deep seeded Soviet plants, are you? You didn't smuggle any "special" back-packs here, from Russia, did you Sputnik?
I wish. Unfortunately my family came over here with 5 kids and no money.

RE: Going to see adjuster today

ohh go hug a tree....me i dont want any islam $h!t on ground zero!
and if you were in some of these guys situation you might be singing a different tune as well.
think if you made your living from the sea and some big oil company trying to save a few pennies using cheap sub standard parts made a huge mess in your back yard and ruined the way you put food on the table and roof over your head how would you feel about that and how obuma is handling this situation
"go hug a tree" Yes, because anybody that disagrees with you redneck f*cks is automatically a tree hugger. Way to live up to the stereotype you ass*hole.
BP turned him down, not Obama. But that doesn't matter right? Why would you let facts get in the way of your circle-jerk here?
By the way, misspelling the President's name as "Obuma" is not clever, it actually just makes you sound like a blithering idiot. So Comrad I see your still an "Intellectual Desert"! His real name is "Bonzo" just like you,ape head....Young punk with no real life experience....I bet you sell Snow Cones at Pizmo Beach?:B BTW, his correct name is Bonzo. The same name I gave George Bush!
Hey Willy!
Bonzo? Ape Head? lol. Where do you come up with this ****?
I wish I could land such a prestigious job as a "Snow Cone Salesman" but unfortunately I am stuck working as a Network Administrator.

RE: MP3 players?

Zune HD 64gb.
It's $350, which is a bit too much for an mp3 player in my opinion, but it is a helluva lot better than the iPod. The menu takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it is an amazing gadget. I have the 16gb version and I love it. Plus, the Zune app market is only beginning. They haven't unleashed it's full potential yet. But if you don't want to spend that much, I would go for the 120gb Zune (not the new HD) or the iPod 160gb. Both are very similar in features with the Zune leading by just a bit and the iPod has a bit more space. But every other person has an iPod and when you buy Apple, you support Steve Mobbs.
Or you can just go for the Nokia N900 phone which is basically a netbook stuffed into a phone. It's 32gb built in space and you can use a MicroSD card to increase that to 64gb.

RE: If anyone needs me next week...

It was Carnival on the Triumph. It was ok. Im still trying to decide if cruises are for me or not. The locations were beautiful but Im not sure I like the whole scheduled feeling of it. IE, you go to Cozumel, or some other location, get off the ship at 8am, at your excursion/etc for 10am, do that, lunch, head back to the compound, do a little shopping/drinking/ok mostly drinking, and then back on the ship for 4pm. I know that sounds like alot but its not enough to truely take in every location. It would be cool if the ship ship would spend like 2 days at a location instead of 12 hours. Other then that it was fun. After 2 1/2 days at sea you run out of things to do on the boat. Drinking it cool...if you can stomach $6.53 beers. The food was great. The pizza taste a little better when you're wasted at 4am.
It was a fun trip though, very relaxing. Ive got a couple pics and all that good stuff.
That's why you buy the alcohol on the shore and sneak it back onto the ship :)

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

Rush happens to be correct. I will point out the millions of barrels of crude oil, gas, diesel, aviation fuel, ect were spilled into both the Atlantic and the Pacific during WW2, with not one bit of an effort to clean it up, and the oceans suffered short term damage, but a long term proliferation of life. Look at Pearl Harbor. Enough oil products were spilled there on Dec. 7, 1941 to choke the place dead, but it is beautiful today. The amount of crude spilled into the western Pacific in the last two years of the war dwarfs the Gulf spill.
In the long term, Rush is exactly correct. However, we humans in our current stage of development and mind set do not see the long term, and want only instant gratifications. We see oil drowned birds and want them cleaned, we see oil stained white sand beaches and want those who caused it punished, as well an an immediate clean-up. In the short term this spill is going to be a mess, but in the long term the Gulf will flourish.
Of course it will recover in the long run. Earth has taken much more abuse than this. But to argue the fact that this oil leak is "natural" is complete bull****. The oil is "naturally" a mile under the ground, not in the ocean. Sure, there has been worse things we have done to the Earth but this is the biggest spill in US history. The impact it will have on the gulf will dwarf that of the Exxon Valdez spill.
It is easy for you to say "fuc|< those birds" but in reality the birds aren't the only issue here. The tourism industry, the fishermen in that area, property values, the gulf economy in general, they have all been hit very hard, and the longer it takes the ocean and wildlife to recover from this spill, the longer it will take the economy to recover.

Rush Limbaugh says "The ocean will take care of this on its own if it was left alone and left out there,” Limbaugh said. “It’s natural. It’s as natural as the ocean water is."

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

The reason people have that attitude is because fuel costs so much and we all feel like were getting screwed at the pump. School will let out in a couple weeks, people will start to vacation if they can afford it and the price of fuel is gonna start to climb like always but this year they are gonna use this oil spill as a reason to raise it even more than usual.
Obama said on the news this morning plug the "damn" hole, lol.
We can send people to space but we caint plug a hole in our ocean. I dont know anything about off shore drilling but damn, why caint we fix it.
I don't think fuel costs are high at all. I drive a lot, 80-100 miles per day, my business requires it. And if you compare the price of fuel to the average income here in the US, we have it much better than the rest of the world. If gasoline was cheap, there would be no reason for the average person to downgrade from a 6.0L V8 to an economical 4-cylinder (I understand many people don't have the luxury of driving economical cars, I drive a Ram 3500, I know how it is)
Here is an interesting quote from a magazine (2008).
"But by almost any measure, gasoline is still cheap. In fact, it has probably been far too cheap for far too long. The recent price increases are only beginning to reflect its real value.
When measured on an inflation-adjusted basis, the current price of gasoline is only slightly higher than it was in 1922. According to the Energy Information Administration, in 1922, gasoline cost the current-day equivalent of $3.11. Today, according to the EIA, gasoline is selling for about $3.77 per gallon, only about 20 percent more than 86 years ago.
History shows that significant declines in U.S. oil consumption occur only after prolonged periods of high prices. Over the last two decades, U.S. consumers have been spoiled by low fuel prices. And those lower prices led to a buying binge that put millions of giant SUVs, pickups, and other gas guzzlers on our roads. Today's higher prices are forcing consumers to adapt. The EIA now expects U.S. gasoline consumption to decline this year—the first drop in demand in 17 years. In April, sales of small cars in the United States were up by 17 percent over the same period a year earlier while sales of SUVs, trucks, and large cars all fell by about 30 percent."
Do I like paying more for gas? Hell no. I would love to fill our Diesel Ram for $50. But it simply isn't possible. The gas prices we have now are simply reflecting the real cost of the commodity. And higher gas prices are the only thing that will motivate the US market to purchase smaller, more economical vehicles and push the research for alternative fuels.
Bring on the hate.
Oh and as for plugging the hole, I am in full agreement with you. BP is definitely doing something very fishy in the gulf.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

I am not against drilling, I understand we are way too dependent on it to stop right now. But what really pisses me off is the "Drill, baby, drill" approach the ****ing conservatives have to the issue.
How the **** is camo equating the life of a bird to that of a human? If we reduce our drilling and put more effort into researching and applying alternative fuel methods, it will only save more human lives. Yes, in the short term it may be difficult (read: costly) to transfer over many of our oil dependent habits to alternative fuels, but in the long run it will only benefit us in so many ways.
And your little bit about Katrina killing more people than this spill (which I am sure you pulled out of your ass) even if it were true, this is something we could have prevented. We can't prevent a natural disaster such as Katrina. Pull your head out of your ass willie.Stem Butt: I never said Katrina killed more people, I said Katrina killed more "birds" than this oil spill will...Is reading part of your mental aptitude? Besides, oil will be part of all our lives for many years to come, because it is so important to so many country's coffer's.Chill man, the birds will come back, they always do,even at "Bikini Atoll"
I meant to type birds, not people. Katrina did kill more people, no doubt.
Like I said earlier, I am not saying we have to stop drilling. I was merely pointing out how stupid the "Drill, baby, drill" approach to this issue is.

RE: Hey b!tches.

I haven't done anything to it yet. I just got this used head to replace my stock one that went out at the Oceano Dunes. I am deciding between two options right now:
1. Put my 450r together as it is and sell it. Buy a new 450r and start over fresh.
or
2. Keep my 450r and mod the hell out of it. (piston, crank, shocks, a-arms, porting, valves, big bore, etc)
Leaning towards the first choice. I have raped this quad, I am now doing a complete engine rebuild.
Financially I think the second would be better off. I know your's might be ragged but with some TLC it should be ok. For what it would cost to buy a new one I'd tear your's down, gusset the frame and PC it, do a stock bore/stroke build on the motor(RE headwork, +1 valves, HD springs, Web 208 cam, and a CP 14:1 piston). Buy arms, shocks and an axle and maybe some graphics and fresh wheels and tires and you'd have one hell of a ride.
Problem is, my engine is basically ****ed. If I end up keeping this 450 I will ride this engine to the death and then part out the engine (whatever has any value) and buy a new/used engine... But this just sounds like too many headaches.
I got a friend here who has a 2006 electric start with the HRC kit, full exhaust, bumper, paddles, filter, rev box, bars, and some nice rim/tire combo and it is in great condition. He will give it to me for $3200... Which is very tempting, because I think I can sell my 450r for at least $2500 (aiming for $3000 though).
As soon as I get it running again, I will take it to the Oregon Dunes and see how it runs.

Awesome pictures, and I am glad to hear you guys had a great time. I need to get back into riding asap.
why did you ever stop riding? I see you post a lot of band videos on myspace, taking up too much time doing all of that, or is that for school/work?
Lot's of reasons, my 450 went down and I never got around to working on it. I attend lots of concerts and spend my spare time playing guitar/piano and with a band, I moved up to Vancouver, I got school, and plenty of work. lol. Really busy lately.
