RE: Alabama jobs

Ohio has lost 400,000 jobs the past 12 months. Companies moving out by the dozens. 7th highest corporate tax rates in the country, no incentives for new plants, unions with a death grip on government jobs and construction projects, and 2 Liberal Governors in a row, has sealed our fate. And the outlook is dismal. Time for a change in Columbus. You forgot to mention the 6 trillion dollars debt the country is in and the lack of anything tangible to back it up. The bottom will fall out soon enough, the second market collapse will be worse than the first. Anyone care to buy a $100 loaf of bread? You are a little behind. The national debt is over $13 trillion. Plus, I was talking about OHIO, not the country as a whole. When the national debt exceeds the GNP, the sh!t will hit the fan. Next year, without doubt, if the Democraps continue to spend like they have the last 20 months. Greece's problems will look mild in comparison. Now I suppose we will hear a tirade about Bush's deficit spending. Yes, he set a new record, and that was BS as well. BUT, Obuma TRIPLED Bush's record in the first year of his term. In one year Obuma has spent more than the last 4 years of the Bush 2 terms.

RE: Alabama jobs

I was in the Teamsters for a few years, right out of high school as a loading dock worker. Bunch of rough dudes. They requested that I accompany them to a competing companies plant to attempt to getting the workers to join the teamsters (they called it a recruiting campaign, but it was really harassment), and when I refused I was on their sh!t list for the rest of the time I worked there. Wasn't long before I left for more friendly pastures.

RE: Alabama jobs

The administration in Ohio is, unfortunately, union friendly, and this is why we are in such sad shape. Unions the main cause of the state's troubles. They are too powerful, and control the politicians, who gets nominated, and who gets elected. No laws get passed here without union consent, and the people are suffering because of it.

What tale is it about a car and passenger boat that tickles you?

RE: What's Wrong With The Judical Branch of Government.

It's actually more on the order of 600 Commandments, in which Moses was given by God. The Catholic church omitted most of them, when they edited the books of the Bible, and left many out, to better suit their needs, not mans. But what do expect from largest gold holder in the world, most of it stolen, by the Spanish, for the church. Their gold repository makes Fort Knox look like a broom closet. I was aware that the Catholics and King James left out a lot of the original Bible when they developed their "versions" (in fact, entire books were redacted), but have never heard about any 600 Commandments. Of course, I abandoned religion in general some 40 years ago, so I have most likely missed a lot. LOL. What tickles me to no end is the fact that my mother and older brother, knowing full well that their King James version of the Bible is rather incomplete as compared to the original, still swear that "the Bible is right!". I guess they cannot accept that the editors of King James deleted what they felt was not conformal to their ideas of Christianity. Pity, as they are missing the whole picture.

My 2 cents: This whole gay "marriage" thing is just another attempt by the Liberal Progressives (read DEMOCRATS) to undermine the morals and sensibility of America, Too much Rush there buddy! You should lighten up a bit and listen to Howard instead, then again Howard is a Jew and that probly dont float well with you either! ;) How would you know unless you listen to Rush as well? Unless of course you are listening to the Liberals interpreting Rush, in which case you have no f'ing idea what he says and stands for, since they lie about him like a rug. But no, I have had the idea that Progressives were trying to destroy American values and morals long before I ever heard of Limbaugh. Started with Woodrow Wilson, who was a good talker like Obuma, and laid down a good line of BS, but if you read his writings you see what he was really after, and and really thought. Like Eugenics! Nasty dude, that Woody. I have nothing against Jews. Except a lot of them vote Democrap. An oxymoron, too, since the Democraps toss Israel under the bus at every opportunity.

RE: What's Wrong With The Judical Branch of Government.

Christians are against gay marriage because they believe gayness is wrong to start with. The Bible says "lay not with another man". But let us remember that the Bible was written by men, not God. The ideas set forth are those of men, as they were interpreted by men. The 10 Commandments are the only rules laid down directly by God. The rest were made up by men of the churches and Synagogues. IF God is the all knowing, all loving, all forgiving entity the writers of the Bible say he is, then he will hate no one for any act they commit. HE would not be capable of hate. Only WE are capable of such an emotion. God can be angered, as seen in the case of the flood, and of Lot's wife. But then again, both of those stories were written by men, not God. The teachings and acts of Jesus, in which he only was provoked to anger once in his entire life, points more to the temperment of God than does the Old Testament, where God was depicted as vengeful and easily riled. The whole idea of a vengeful God was used to make people tow the line, walk the straight and narrow path. Hence the saying "God will get you for that", and the Bible passage "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord".

Easy to tell who was raised by common sense, normal acting and thinking, God fearing, Americans, and who wasn't, ain't it? BTW Lance, I do not think God hates fags. According to the Bible, we all are his children, and he loves us all. Just some have strayed from the path he wants us to follow. I can think of a few things on which you and I both have strayed from that path. There is my sermon for the day. FYI, I am an agnostic. ROFL.

My 2 cents: This whole gay "marriage" thing is just another attempt by the Liberal Progressives (read DEMOCRATS) to undermine the morals and sensibility of America, and a further attempt to devalue the nuclear family as we all know it. It has been going on for decades, starting with LBJ's signing of the child welfare acts, and this is the latest assault. Break down the family and the society breaks down, which is precisely what is happening. And exactly what they want. I could give a big rats azz if 2 rug-lickers or fudge packers want to get "married", just don't make it a legal marriage. Marriage is a union of a man and a woman, as defined above, for the purpose of raising children, and is a sacred privileged. It should not be degraded to a union of queers.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

I feel sure his Dark Highness will lose any battle in the courts. Since the Feds are doing next to nothing to secure our borders (besides lip service and feel-good-do nothing-policies), the states must insure the security of their citizens. I also see a Civil war in the future, but it might well be racial with all the hatred being stirred up by Obuma and his gang. Anyone who disagrees with him is being called a racist, and some factions of the larger minority groups are getting riled up. Arm well, and stock up on supplies.

Sounds like every state needs to pass the same law. At least Az. law makers have some gonads.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

Oil has been seeping into the oceans naturally for millions of years. The biological means are there to handle it. Trillions of oil-eating bacterias will develop in the Gulf and consume most of it, but it will take time. The pitiful attempts to clean it up will do nothing in comparison to nature's cleaning methods. I will point out that we did not invent crude oil, we only found uses for it. It has been here long before we were. To suggest that this leak is a natural occurrence is asinine. To think that anyone here thinks so is just plain ignorant. But nature has ways of dealing with it better than we can. Who do I blame for this disaster? 1.BP of course. Their safety record is appalling. And remember, BP is British Petroleum, it is NOT an American company. Regret the day BP bought Standard Oil. 2.The current Administration just as much. There were means at hand to contain it, and Obama's team denied the use of EVERY SINGLE one of them. Not to mention that this very platform was inspected 10 days before the explosion by Obama's Dept. of Interior and given a clean bill of health. 3.The Tree Huggers, for fighting close-to-shore shallow water drilling tooth and nail. Had this catastrophe occurred in 200 feet of water, the well would have been capped within 48-72 hours.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

Rush happens to be correct. I will point out the millions of barrels of crude oil, gas, diesel, aviation fuel, ect were spilled into both the Atlantic and the Pacific during WW2, with not one bit of an effort to clean it up, and the oceans suffered short term damage, but a long term proliferation of life. Look at Pearl Harbor. Enough oil products were spilled there on Dec. 7, 1941 to choke the place dead, but it is beautiful today. The amount of crude spilled into the western Pacific in the last two years of the war dwarfs the Gulf spill. In the long term, Rush is exactly correct. However, we humans in our current stage of development and mind set do not see the long term, and want only instant gratifications. We see oil drowned birds and want them cleaned, we see oil stained white sand beaches and want those who caused it punished, as well an an immediate clean-up. In the short term this spill is going to be a mess, but in the long term the Gulf will flourish.

RE: Don't ask,Don't tell!

Don't know about you all, but if I was in a fox hole with another dude, I would very much like to know if he was thinking about sucking my d!ck or not. If it was all out in the open, they could team up the gays and leave the normal folks to themselves. Of course this would lead to discrimination and probably worse, so perhaps it is better to leave it the way it is.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

When you take into consideration that the White House gave BP an exemption for replacing blow-out preventers in April, 2009 (and indeed, this very preventer was due for replacement), this whole oil spill tragedy falls squarely on the current Administration's shoulders. Of course, it should be known that BP was a big contributor to the Obama campaign in 2008.

Legal income. If counting illegal income, drugs would most likely be #1.

They have oil, their #1 source of National income. We buy most of it. Money sent from illegals back to Mexico is their #2 source of income.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

If you are caught in Mexico illegally, the first time it can mean 2 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The second time it is 10 years, and the third time they throw away the key to your cell. And from what I have heard, you do not want to spend even a day in a Mexican Federal prison if you are white. Polaris is moving one of their Wisconsin plants to Mexico. 515 Americans will be out of a job. http://www.startribune.com/business/94533809.html?elr=KArksUUUycaEacyU

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

Illegals are costing AZ $3 billion a year in public assistance, health care costs (thanks to the Federal law requiring anyone who comes into an emergency room to get care, whether they have insurance or can pay for their treatment or not), and unpaid income taxes. This is another reason for the law. On a side note, some members of the State House here in Ohio offered up a bill very similar to the one in AZ. Our "illustrious" Democrap Governor immediately stated he would veto it. It never got to the floor, even with some 300,000 illegals in the state. I have seen some of them. They were drywall hangers, stone masons, carpet layers, carpenters, brick layers, and concrete workers. They do good work I have to say, and get paid about 1/2 what an American non-union crew gets paid, and about 1/3 of what Union tradesmen earn. So don't believe what the politicians say about illegals doing work Americans won't do, it is BS.
