RE: What's Wrong With The Judical Branch of Government.

And here I thought this was going to be an average FAG / homo debate. Oh the twists & turns a thread can take, lol just lol.

RE: What's Wrong With The Judical Branch of Government.

If thats the case then why do all Christians forbid gay people to marry? If their god told them it was ok to be gay they wouldnt fight so hard against it. Yes, Ive done so many things throughout my life that Im sure god holds against me.

RE: What's Wrong With The Judical Branch of Government.

So its all about labels? Married usually means under god and civil unions means under the state. I agree, live and let live but we all know Christians will not stand for that because they feel it degrades the meaning to them. Right or wrong, like it or not the majority of Americans believe or follow Christianity in some shape or form. Thats how the system works in America, majority rules. I agree with you though, the government has no business governing peoples personal lives but this isnt about the government its about people standing up for what they believe in however misguided it may be. On a side note, my step sons grandmother on his dads side is gay and has a live in girlfriend. They have been together for years and my step son goes there almost every weekend to see his dad. Yes they are gay but they are good to my step son, they love him like no other and its not like they lay around lickin each other in front of him. Hes 8 and dosent understand what being gay means yet. In the next few years he will figure it out but I dont think he will turn out to be gay because he spends time there.

RE: What's Wrong With The Judical Branch of Government.

Havent they decided that being gay is just the way some people are wired and not a choice? Some people have a hard time believing that cause it goes against the natural cycle of life. As weird as gay people seem to me Ive never really cared what gay people do as long as it dosent effect me. When it comes to marriage I disagree with allowing them to marry and heres why. Marriage as we know it is a pact with god, otherwise its just a piece of paper filed with the state. The term marriage came from religion and thats what it means to most people, weather they believe in god or not. Since we know god hates fags then why would gay people want to marry under a religion that hates them? Makes no sense at all. Civil unions give them all same worldly rights as anyone else as far as the state is concerned. Why isnt that good enough for them? Seems like its more of an equal rights issue than a marriage issue. Im not very religious at all, just kind of live my life and could care less what other people do. But Christians feel like they need to stand up for their religion and protect it. If they accept gay people into Christianity they feel they themselves have failed their faith. As for gay people raising a child, all a child needs is a safe, loving enviroment to grow in. They will make up their own mind when their old enough to understand that sexuality means.

RE: Married life...

I got married May 15th, so far so good. Nothing is any different than it was before but they say there will be a cross road somewhere down the road. Congrates Gizzard.

RE: Don't ask,Don't tell!

Im not in the military but I dont understand this whole issue. The military is a job just like any other and an individuals sexual preferance has no business in the work place at all quear or otherwise. Why our government allows this argument to even be heard is beyond me. Really, dont ask dont tell was the best solution. Sweep it under the rug and get on with the task at hand, defending our country.

RE: What does everyone have going on this weekend?

I bought a Lifted Jeep recently and plan to wheel it for the first time this weekend. Other than that Im sure there will be several cook outs between my family and my wifes which I will try to avoid at all cost, lol. Plan on checkin all my trail cameras and running my traps in between all that, prolly have a beer or 10 and get in some Rattle Snake hunting.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

Somehow I think its all based on the price of oil within the stock market. Local gas station owner told me, wherever he buys his gas from calls him every morning and tells him what the market is doing and Im sure theres a formula of some sort to figure that out. Once the price of oil goes up suddenly the gas in his tanks is worth more. The thing I found the most interesting was he said that he makes about 1% per gallon of profit. Makes it seem like hes making nothing from gas and completely relies on Cokes & Cigs to make money.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

What I meant by lose it was they had to completely start over. Arent they gonna have to start over anyway, ya think whatever happened on the ocean floor can be repaired and make it a profitable hole again? Sounded like that were gonna try and pump it full of mud and concrete on the news this morning. Wouldnt that mean the end for that hole if it works? Can they really suck oil out of the water and it be usefull, the water dosent delute or mess it up in any way?

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

YourAdd You mean loose the the well all together and never get any oil from that pocket again, right? Then why are they planning to drill another hole to relieve the pressure if they will loose it? In my opinion they have wasted over a month now when they should have been 300 yards away drilling another hole. Seems like a win / win on their part to stop the leak plus have another hole and end up with twice as much oil. But no, they screw around with robots and goofy contraptions. Comrad Gas prices, I know this is a typical American attitude but here goes. I drive a 06 F-150 5.4 auto 4x4 gas guzzlin pig, 30 min drive to work, tank a week more or less if I dont run around a lot on the weekend. When fuel prices hit 4.00 in 08, I was spending a little over 400.00 a month on fuel when usually its around 300.00 give or take. I put all my fuel on a card and pay it off every month so I see to the penny what I spend and it p!sses me off cuz the payment on the truck is 403.00. Time ya add insurance its costing me close to a grand a month, 12,000 a year to drive that truck, crazy I tell ya and since I caint reduce anything else fuel is all I got to ***** about. Yes we got it good here in America compared to other countries and compared to some incomes. But ya know what, if the world is gonna use America as the world police then why caint we at least have cheap gas and remember our tax dollars pay for that war machine. So no I dont feel guilty about having cheaper gas. Around here its 2.89 was 2.99 week before last and was amazed at 2.55 in Pigeon Forge, TN last week.

RE: Drill, baby, drill.

The reason people have that attitude is because fuel costs so much and we all feel like were getting screwed at the pump. School will let out in a couple weeks, people will start to vacation if they can afford it and the price of fuel is gonna start to climb like always but this year they are gonna use this oil spill as a reason to raise it even more than usual. Obama said on the news this morning plug the "damn" hole, lol. We can send people to space but we caint plug a hole in our ocean. I dont know anything about off shore drilling but damn, why caint we fix it.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

They have oil, their #1 source of National income. We buy most of it. Money sent from illegals back to Mexico is their #2 source of income. I figured drugs would be #2.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

My beloved Can-Am says Made in Mexico on it, 2007 was around the time they moved and put all those Canadians out of work. I came up with another solution, go ahead and build the fence like they started to do in Bushes last year of office. Train our armed forces all along the boarder and shoot anyone that comes within rifle range of the fence. This problem would stop. I still think taking over the whole country is a better idea in the long run. Do they have any natural resources we can steal? I dought they do otherwise we would have already made Mexico part of America.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

I often wonder if other countries let people come and go freely across their boarders? For some reason I dought they do so why are we? If I was Pres. and had the power Id go to the Mexican Government and say " You will stop your people from crossing our boarder or Mexico will become America, your whole government will be slaughtered". If our Gov. had any balls at all this issue would be delt with in one phone call. The Mexican Gov. would fear that we would make good on our word and deal with it themselves. I know thats sounds harsh but if were gonna pay for them through social programs then they should have to pay taxes and follow the laws just like we do. On a side note...I would also forbid anything made, assembles or grown in Mexico to ever cross our boarders and stick my middle finger up to companys that moved their operations from Canada and the U.S. to Mexico.

RE: Arizona's New Immigration Laws. Good or Bad?

I dont understand what the big deal is with asking for ID of anyone regardless of race. If your here legally and not doing anything wrong then whats the big deal. I know around here if a cop comes up to you on the street and asks you for proof of ID ya better hand it to him, otherwise your gonna get questioned and most likely detained until you prove who you are. Run your mouth at all and a ass whoopin is coming your way. Racial profiling sucks but lets be honest, good cops keep track of who they arrest and who they have the most problems out of. Asking a cop to not pay attention to his job is foolish. Race will always be a problem and if Im walking around in a black neighborhood after dark Id expect to be questioned for my own safety but apparently its different if its a black man in a white neighborhood.

RE: Question for Over30 and/or Sir-Lance

In April of 2007 I paid 8,200 for a non-XT 800 single-up so 4,500 with 600 miles sounds like a good deal if its not beat to bad. And yes, getting those skids before it does get beat is key. I rode mine one time before I got the skids and wish I hadent, looked like I had beat it with a hammer. I bought Ricochet plates and paid around 300.00 I think.

RE: Can-Am frame repair with pics.

Naw I dont think this is a common problem, dealer said he has seen a lot of twisted & bent frames but never a break in that spot. So Im going to assume mine was a fluke and chalk it up to sh!t happens. They did redesign that mount in newer models, those holes were not in the new design.

Can-Am frame repair with pics.

I dont know whats right or wrong but this is how I fixed my frame. And Im not posting this to B!tch about Can-Am having weak frames. Yes it made me mad when it broke but I still love my bike and will buy another one when I get tired of dealing with it. Its an 07, Ive beat its ass for 4,200 miles so far. Although it p!ssed me off when this happened and I couldnt afford to replace it right now so rather than have nothing to ride I decided to fix it. The top of the tower broke off right out at the end. That plug weld ya see, the round weld, theres a 3/16" plate under it, stich welded on the bottom and plug welded on the top. There was a hole from the factory where the plug weld is and thats where my crack started. The other side was doing the same thing So I went ahead and did the same thing to it. I dont think it will break again but who knows, Ive rode it 3 times since the repair put 180 miles on it since then. So far so good. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/sirlance/IMAG1478.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/sirlance/IMAG1479.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/sirlance/IMAG1480.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/sirlance/IMAG1481.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/sirlance/IMAG1482.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/sirlance/IMAG1483.jpg
