welcome and i'll recomend the honda rancher with irs for comfort and efi so it will cope with your elevation or the grizzly 550 there are smaller bore atvs but entrly level 2x4 and 4x4 are usualy carb and solid rear axle if your budget allows mid size quad 400 to 650 you would be better off small bore quad will loose power with your elevation

ibadbanshee iwill be in lebanon at lake hatfield it's right next to a giant turf farm i will be there sunday morning that's the only place i know where to in maine i know there a lot of places too ride in maine i just havent had time too research to find the trails

my reason for ripping polaris products is more out of disgust that people like us on this forum that work hard play by the rules that like riding atv's your avarage blue collar gear head will be loosing there jobs so the ceo of polaris can give himself a huge bonus because the people in mexico work for 25cents an hour. i could be wrong but i do belive the 4 major japenese atv's are built here in america

sweet bike rode one in las vegas as a rental. bike has low end torque like freight train and pulls super strong all the way too the rev limeter. good luck with the bike

it was actualy kawi credit the salesman talked me into it and he gave me a great deal which meant he got a kick back for every credit card he opened i origanly intented to pay cash so i paid it off right the first payment then canceled the kawi card 50 a month sounds cheap but YOU MUST READ THE FINE PRINT

bought my 450r with cash financed my brute for only one payment it was 50 a month 40 for intrest and the 10 went to the princepal of the i saw that and paid it off right away

a 302 or 351 are great engines to build but the stock a4ld or 5 speed trans is very weak you will need a c6 trans or aod trans you will also need to swap out the stock 7.5 rear end for an 8.8 which were in rangers with 4.o liters engines a 2.5 turbo coupe t-bird engine would be very cool and diffrent but you will still beef up the drive traine with a 2.5 turbo
